- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Dr. Paige apparently has a problem with dealing with anyone but the patient. Her assistant will come out and call the patients name, if anyone stands up with the patient they will be told, "Just the patient right now, that's the way she is." If you are there with the patient you will never be called back. I observed this with two other patients while I was waiting to be called back. My Mother is 81 and was there to discuss a surgery, she does not always remember all the questions that she needs to ask and that is why my Sister and I were there. She is taking Coumadin which needs to be monitored and she needed paperwork filled out for short term disability, neither of those concerns were discussed while my Mother was being seen. I understand the need to see the patient for the initial exam by themselves but you should allow family members to have input and answer their concerns.
